Four magic moments – Boileau Velo Coast to Coast

IMG_3045

Boileau Velo Coast to Coast was nothing short of perfection – perfect weather, perfect cycling conditions and a perfect day out in the saddle . Over 1500 riders took on the challenge. Here are four of our favourite moments of the day.

1. Leo the 11 year old smashes out 120kms.

Who says age matters? Meet Leo. He’s just 11 years old and managed to ride 120 kilometres yesterday with his Dad, Brett.

And yes his Dad was pretty stoked.

What a little legend! (Feel free to comment on his efforts on our Facebook Post).

2. Lindsay’s 97km Unicycle Adventure

Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay. Many riders were a little bit nervous about how they’d hold up before the ride – and they had the luxury of two wheels.  Lindsay managed to clock 97 kilometres on his unicycle – starting the ride in Stirling. Rumour has it – he even managed to pass a few participants going uphill.

Absolute madman. Let’s hope he can still have children.

Check out the kudos he received on FaceBook.

3. The Descents

Descent

One of the reasons this ride is so awesome is that it’s got such great downhill sections. Once you’ve climbed Lofty at the start – it’s pretty much a downhill run until Victor Harbor. The section between Stirling and Meadows was spectacular.

4. The Finish line

Oh the joys of finishing.  This happy snap was taken when Angelique Boileau and her CEO Team rolled into Victor Harbor. Smiles all around. There’s something so special about rolling into the finish line – and it’s not just about checking you’re Strava.

But then again… it is about checking your Strava account 🙂

Congrats to everyone that rode. It truly was a great day…

Last but not least… here’s a cheeky little music video of the day put together by our marketing guy. Bring on the good times in 2016 🙂
