The Outback Odyssey – The Adventure Begins.

Participants for the 2017 Outback Odyssey have got off to a cracking start – with great weather and blue skies. The trip’s mechanic, Lindsey Colla has been documenting the trip.

Lindsey Colla believe it or not managed to do the trip on a unicycle back in 2015.

And this year with his new mobile mechanical business – VeloMech – he’ll be providing mechanical support along the way for everyone.

He’s been documenting the riders’ trips from his van along the way – so we thought we’d share some of his photos and commentary:

Outback Odyssey 2017 is off and riding!

(Note, this is our biggest Outback Odyssey to date – over 200 riders taking part in the trip).

Velo Van Adventures! Day 2 (Yesterday) on the outback odyssey.

Perfect riding conditions this year, I’m not sure these riders are getting the full Mawson experience without the torrential rain and 40 kph cross winds. All 170 riders cruised safely into Tanunda.

Velo Van adventures on the trail to Riverton yesterday, found a nice spot in the sun for my daily yoga practice

Velo Van adventures! Day 4 on the Maswson trail,

Riverton to Burra. The riders had another perfect sunny day.

Burra to Hallett on the Mawson.
Posting while I wait to get my own tyre repaired after a 3 corner jack on steroids went through one on the Van yesterday.

Love the photos and drone footage, good to see where my husband Greg is riding although didn’t see him in any photos, is he really there? I think so, never one for being in the limelight probably avoiding camera
Wish my bum was meant for bike riding.
